3PB’s Commercial and Real Estate teams brief on issuing and defending insolvency proceedings

6th April 2020

3PB has issued an urgent briefing to its insolvency clients and contacts about a new Temporary Insolvency Practice Direction (TIPD) which has been introduced to provide sensible solutions for court users during the current COVID-19 pandemic. This means continued absence of court appearances in person.

This new helpful TIPD details how the Insolvency and Companies Court list will endeavour to provide support on all insolvency proceedings throughout the Business and Property Courts, subject to any variations outside London from local supervising judges, from today  6th April until  1 October 2020, unless amended or revoked by a further insolvency practice direction in the meantime.

A Note on TIPD April 2020.

Please be aware that there have also been subsequent variations and guidance to TIPD issued by the Circuits, including ‘Variation and Guidance for the Midland, Western and Wales Circuit (No 1).
