In the latest issue of the personal injury newsletter we bring you a summary of the changes in the much anticipated 8th edition of the Ogden Tables. We have also included two recent costs decisions which you may find helpful: firstly Grace NichollsGrace NichollsCall: 2015 summarises John Coleman v Daniel Townsend PHW 1806767 in which a trial advocacy fee was disallowed in a claim which settled the day before trial.

Eloise Turnnidge then looks at the decision in Aldred v Cham [2019] where the Court examined the recoverability of Counsel’s fee for an advice on quantum in infant Protocol claims. The Supreme Court has refused permission to appeal in this case, which means the Court of Appeal decision now stands firm.
