Elaine Strachan has a busy matrimonial practice.
Having studied at King’s College, Cambridge, Elaine was awarded a Harmsworth Scholarship and Exhibition from the Middle Temple and joined 3PB in London in 1995.
Her work principally consists of matrimonial finance, but also includes cohabitation and civil partnership (same sex) disputes.
Elaine has significant experience of claims involving difficult trust issues, involving assets in excess of £10 million.
Elaine undertakes all aspects of private family law. Children cases will often involve serious and sensitive issues such as sexual abuse or removal from the jurisdiction.
With substantial experience and a family of her own, Elaine is self-assured and calm, but firm in her style of representation.
Her clients range from high profile individuals (who may require particular discretion) to the less wealthy. On occasions Elaine undertakes work for the Bar Pro Bono Unit.
