Former Head of Chambers Nigel Lickley KC appointed as High Court Judge

3PB Barristers (3 Paper Buildings) congratulates former member and Head of Chambers, Nigel Lickley KC, on his appointment by His Majesty the King to the High Court.
The Honourable Mr Justice Lickley will be assigned to the King’s Bench Division and will take up appointment on Thursday 1 October 2026. Nigel’s appointment follows 28 years of judicial experience as a Recorder, Deputy High Court Judge and most recently, as a Circuit Judge of the Central Criminal Court at the Old Bailey, London.
On the appointment, 3PB’s current Head of Chambers, Elizabeth McGrath KC, said: “Throughout his 34 years at 3PB, Nigel made many significant contributions to Chambers, including offering his valuable leadership and support during his tenure as Head of Chambers. We are delighted for Nigel on his latest appointment and offer him many heartfelt congratulations.”
