Hague Convention: debate on a short case study

The 3PB Family team are pleased to invite you to a Hague Convention panel debate on a short film case study.
Following the viewing of the short film case study entitled Not Coming Back, Stephen Wildblood KC will chair a panel of international abduction law experts consisting of Kim Lehal (RWK Goodman), Philippa Morgan (Lyons Davidson), Dorian Day (3PB), Laura Scott (3PB) and Gemma Chapman (3PB).
The panel will be asked to consider a number of questions in relation to Not Coming Back, including:
- Which Articles of the Hague Convention are engaged in this scenario?
- Would the mother, Angie, be forced to return the children?
- What would happen in the UK if Angie were forced to do so? Would she be allowed to return to New York with the children and, if so, on what terms?
- What would happen if the father, Zac, and Angie agreed that Angie and the children should spend four months in Calgary (Canada) with their uncle and, four months later, Zac tried to force the children’s return to the UK under the Convention?
We would be delighted to see you on Zoom for this event. Please use the links below to register and ask any questions you may have.
