3PB Barristers (3 Paper Buildings) are proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 (11-17 May).

The legal profession can be demanding, and this week serves as an important reminder that mental wellbeing matters - in chambers, in court, and beyond; and we encourage open conversations, support for colleagues, and taking time to prioritise mental health and wellbeing.

3PB are a part of the NHS Mindful Employer Charter as part of our ongoing commitment to wellbeing and mental health across chambers. Alongside this, we are also providing Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) training for our wellbeing team. This accredited training delivered in line with the Mental Health First Aid England framework, will equip the team with the skills to support colleagues, promote early intervention, and help guide people to appropriate professional support where needed.

3PB’s Head of People, Claire Christie, said: "I'm proud of the initiatives we have already in place at 3PB for our members and staff, including access to occupational health, confidential paid counselling, financial and wealth advice, a dedicated EDI and wellbeing team, private medical insurance and strong support for flexible working and periods of leave such as maternity, paternity and adoption. These initiatives reflect the genuine people-focused culture we are continuing to build across Chambers, where we recognise that every individual’s circumstances and support needs may be different. Our aim is to ensure that members and staff feel supported not only in their professional roles, but as individuals, with access to practical help when they need it.”
