Conor Mullan appears in nationally reported joint inquest

3PB Barrister Conor Mullan (pictured here) appeared in this Article 2 jury inquest investigating the tragic deaths of two young individuals in a unique and complex set of circumstances relating to a joint suicide.
This was a multi-agency inquest involving seven interested persons: two families, two police forces, two councils and a health care organisation before His Majesty’s Area Coroner over the course of four weeks.
A number of significant and novel issues were examined over the course of the inquest in relation to criminal proceedings, coercive and controlling behaviour, police response protocols and procedures, multi-agency decision making and communications and child and social care.
