3PB hosts Midlands launch of the new “Aspiring Black Lawyers” network

5th November 2019

3PB’s Birmingham office was delighted to host the recent launch event of the “Aspiring Black Lawyers” network at our landmark Colmore Building offices. The event coincided with the conclusion of Black History Month and was attended by over 80 students, solicitors, barristers, academics and others enthusiastic for improved diversity and inclusion in the law from across the Midlands region and beyond, all keen to see the start of what the network hopes are remarkable and impactful outcomes for many aspiring black lawyers.

Our sincerest thanks go to Stephanie Boyce, deputy vice-president of the Law Society of England and Wales, and Inez Brown, vice president of the local Birmingham Law Society, for joining us and sharing their own story and detailing the great work their respective organisations are doing. Both spoke passionately about their vision and experiences and had the whole room captivated, clearly inspiring those in attendance to keep moving forward, whatever obstacles are faced.

Thank you to all those who attended and helped make the launch event such a successful and special occasion.
