Commercial litigation and insolvency barrister Aaron Luxton joins 3PB (3 Paper Buildings) after moving across from law firm DWF, where he had been a solicitor-advocate and an employed in-house barrister. Aaron has become a tenant of chambers upon the successful conclusion of his third six pupillage, joining the 50-strong commercial litigation team.

Working from 3PB's Birmingham office, and practicing nationally, Aaron specialises in commercial, contractual and insolvency disputes. He has a particular interest, and experience, in claims relating to financial litigation including product mis-selling, international arbitration, consumer rights including "agents' secret commissions", debt recovery, contractual breaches, construction disputes and claims against schools and universities.

Having spent seven years working in national law firms Shoosmiths and DWF, qualifying as a solicitor into a Tier 1 insolvency team in 2020, Aaron is highly experienced in dealing with contentious restructuring and insolvency cases, including; administration appointments and extensions, disclaimers of leasehold estates, security and retention of title claims, winding up petitions and directors’ duties. Whilst working at DWF, Aaron gained his Higher Rights of Audience (Civil Proceedings) and, as an advocate, has already appeared in over 300 hearings from a wide range of applications to multi-day trials. Aaron is regularly instructed to appear in the High Court and County Court at all stages of proceedings - from pre-action advice, interlocutory hearings and through to trial. Aaron frequently represents creditors and debtors in relation to statutory demands, restraining the advertisement of petitions, setting aside statutory demands and bankruptcy proceedings.

Boasting an impressive list of scholarships and awards, Aaron's work has been praised by instructing solicitors on his work as "excellent" and "really thoughtful and measured”. His service has been described as “outstanding", "superbly responsive" and a barrister "who has always gone the extra mile to achieve the best outcome.”
