Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Barrister Angela Grahame QC (Scot) joins 3PB

26th March 2019

3PB is delighted to welcome Angela Grahame QC (Scot) to 3PB. Angela becomes the first female QC from the Scottish Bar to practice at the Bar in England and Wales. This move comes in the year that many in the legal profession around the UK are marking the Centenary of Women in the Law and notable female ‘firsts’.

Angela has been in practice in Scotland since 1995, became a silk in Scotland in 2009 and was elected Vice Dean (Vice Chair) of the Scottish Bar in 2016. She was called in England & Wales this year and has now joined chambers as a door tenant. She will practice personal injury and clinical negligence in both jurisdictions.

3PB Chief Executive Simon Astill said: “Angela’s high profile career so far and her undoubted standing as a barrister of considerable ability means she will no doubt be a welcome addition to the Bar in England and Wales and to 3PB Barristers. We’re proud of the broad mix of barristers practising at 3PB and look forward to welcoming Angela to our 35-strong PI and Clinical negligence team.”

Angela has extensive experience in many challenging and high-profile personal injury, clinical negligence and abuse cases. She is regularly instructed as lead counsel and has negotiated settlements in many multi-million pound claims. She has considerable experience in public inquiries and has experience in both commercial actions and contractual disputes. She also has a burgeoning arbitration practice, both domestically and internationally; and has been working towards qualification as an accredited mediator.
