Overview

Rhiannon Frowde is a barrister specialising in clinical negligence and personal injury. She joined 3PB after completing her pupillage with Hailsham Chambers in London, which focused on clinical negligence and medical professionals' disciplinary/negligence.

Prior to starting pupillage, Rhiannon worked as a Research Fellow and Associate at Edinburgh University's Mason Institute for Medicine, Life Sciences and Law. She was involved in researching and writing journal articles, policy briefs, and contributing to the 12th edition of the seminal textbook, Mason McCall Smith's Medical Law.

She enjoys acting for both claimants and defendants in small claim and stage 3 hearings and wishes to continue building a practice with a focus on oral advocacy, being led by senior counsel and later instructed in more complex cases. She has shown herself to be adept at "thinking on her feet" and expressing herself "eloquently and persuasively, employing well researched and clearly structured arguments."

Rhiannon enjoys her specialism in clinical negligence and personal injury as she can make a positive contribution to her clients, by providing specialist advice to clients who have gone through life-changing events, assisting them in achieving their desired outcome.

She finds the complex interplay between medicine and law, alongside the human element, to be very stimulating. With a wide range of medico-legal issues to take on, each case has a unique set of facts, promising a continually exciting practice.

Rhiannon speaks Brazilian Portuguese fluently, which has proved valuable in several of her cases as well.
