Overview

Rhiannon is a civil practitioner specialising in clinical negligence, personal injury, and inquests.

She enjoys a busy practice, acting for both claimants and defendants across a broad range of civil matters, regularly instructed in fast-track trials involving allegations of fundamental dishonesty.

She has particular expertise in credit hire disputes, road traffic accidents, and public and employer’s liability claims. Alongside her court practice, she is frequently instructed to draft pleadings and provide advice both in conference and in writing.  She has shown herself to be adept at "thinking on her feet" and expressing herself "eloquently and persuasively, employing well researched and clearly structured arguments."

Rhiannon is also experienced in inquest work, having recently acted for the family in a complex three-day clinical negligence inquest. Her calm and thorough approach makes her well-suited to sensitive proceedings involving bereaved families and public bodies.

Prior to starting pupillage, Rhiannon worked as a Research Fellow and Associate at Edinburgh University's Mason Institute for Medicine, Life Sciences and Law. She was involved in researching and writing journal articles, policy briefs, and contributing to the 12th edition of the seminal textbook, Mason McCall Smith's Medical Law.
