Overview

Peter Eliot is a pupil barrister who joined 3PB in October 2026. Based at 3PB’s London centre, Peter’s pupillage is focused on property and real estate cases and commercial disputes.

Before joining chambers, Peter was head tribunal advocate at a not-for-profit organisation, where he successfully represented clients in both the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) and the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber). Through this employment, Peter is already an experienced and successful advocate, adept at drafting appeal and strike-out applications and statements of case, as well as conducting settlement negotiations. This role enabled him to develop an in-depth understanding of landlord and tenant disputes, and property and housing law.

Peter was also a volunteer advocate for the School Exclusion Project. In this role, he represented the parents of excluded children at hearings before boards of governors and independent review panels.

Before coming to the Bar, Peter was a professional actor and also worked in film and television development with a range of production companies, including the British Film Institute.

Outside of his busy work schedule, Peter is a keen reader and film-goer and can often be found at his local independent cinema or attending one of his various book clubs. When not reading, Peter enjoys cooking, swimming and city walks.
