3PB barrister Berenice Mulvanny in case involving a life sentence for 26 counts of sexual abuse

On 5th March 2018 at Southampton Crown Court the defendant was sentenced for rape and sexual abuse of two young children aged between 4 and 7. The abuse was filmed and shared on the dark web. The defendant pleaded guilty and after mitigation from Miss Mulvanny received a life sentence with a minimum tariff of 9 years.

Kate Davies successfully defends two different clients in two Crown Court assault trials in October 2025
3PB’s criminal law barrister Kate Davies, pictured here, has already successfully defended two different clients in two separate Crown Court trials for assault this month. Kate’s first client was charged with assault. The alleged assault was caught on CCTV. The defence was accident, and the case involved the cross-examination of four witnesses.
