Overview

Michael enjoys a successful practice in all Property & Estates matters, including contractual disputes, contentious property matters, building regulatory work and professional negligence claims. Michael was called to the bar in March 2019 and has gained considerable experience working in three international law firms in various areas of commercial litigation and transactional work.

Michael joined 3PB in October 2024 having previously worked as an employed barrister at an international law firm where he accepted a wide variety of commercial insurance instructions ranging from contractual and regulatory disputes to data protection and consumer credit matters. Michael’s adversarial practice includes acting in credit hire matters in addition to representing clients in employer liability disputes, data breach and misuse claims, discrimination and insolvency proceedings.

Michael is instructed on all aspects of litigation and prides himself on providing commercially sensible advice on litigation prospects in addition to offering strategic expertise in settlement negotiations. Michael is an accredited mediator and is well versed in representing clients in ADR matters. Michael was nominated by his former Chambers as a ‘Rising Star of the Year’ in 2022.

Prior to practicing at the Bar, Michael worked as a fee earner in a Tier 1 Professional & Financial disputes team where he gained experience in high-value professional indemnity matters, including defective building works & property damage claims. Michael then ventured into real estate finance where he handled multi-million-pound re-financing matters on behalf of development finance banks. Within this role, Michael assisted with all types of property litigation and transactional work, including large scale restructuring and redemption matters on behalf of commercial clients.

As a former solicitor himself, Michael prides himself on delivering commercially astute advice in a practical and digestible manner to his clients. Michael has been described as a skilled advocate who has a steadfast dedication to providing a first-class client service.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys all types of physical training, stemming from his time working as a Personal Fitness Trainer. Michael is a passionate Manchester United season ticket holder and enjoys reading all thing’s philosophy, psychology and individual happiness.
