3PB’s Matthew Curtis in two disability discrimination cases at EAT this last fortnight

6th August 2018

3PB Barristers employment & discrimination law specialist Matthew Curtis has just appeared in two disability discrimination cases at the EAT this last fortnight. Appearing before HHJ Eady Q.C. on both occasions, Matthew first represented a Respondent appealing on procedural irregularity and perversity grounds, then represented a Claimant on a pro bono basis under the ELAAS scheme.

Matthew is a highly-ranked employment barrister, regularly appearing in Employment tribunals on multi-day cases across the UK, and is described in lawyers’ directory Legal 500 as a “very competent barrister” who is “calm and effective” and who “shows thorough preparation and meticulous attention to detail”. He has been given particular praise for his “excellent commercial and communication skills.” Matthew is routinely instructed by large UK retailers, transport companies, airports, flight schools, local authorities and a multitude of SME’s - as well as by claimant employees seeking redress and compensation - in employment disputes.
