5th September 2019

Education, clinical negligence and court of protection barrister Emma WaldronEmma WaldronCall: 2011 was today recognised as one of a handful of UK lawyers winning a Women in Law award from Lawyer Monthly.

The Lawyer Monthly Women in Law Awards 2019 recognise the hardworking achievements of women working in law firms, corporate lawyers, counsel and those connected to the legal world who have a proven track record in delivering results for their clients over the past twelve months.

With 2018 presenting an awakening for many regarding equality, stories regarding sexual harassment and the Gender Pay Gap, surfaced the prevalence of inequality in the 21st century. And the legal sector is no exception; with the profession traditionally being male-dominated, the Lawyer Monthly awards aim to recognise the struggles our female lawyers overcome, in order to be the best for their clients.

Emma Waldron said: “I am particularly honoured to receive the award this year as it marks the 100-year anniversary in England and Wales of women being permitted to practise as barristers.”
