3PB signs up to be a Mindful Employer
3rd February 2026

3PB Barristers (3 Paper Buildings) has signed the NHS Mindful Employer Charter as part of our ongoing commitment to wellbeing and mental health across chambers.
Being a signatory to the Charter demonstrates our ongoing commitment to health and wellbeing across chambers. It reflects the importance we place on enhancing a supportive and inclusive culture, while committing to practical measures such as raising awareness of mental health, providing appropriate training, and ensuring that wellbeing considerations are embedded into how we work across chambers. It also signals our intention to regularly review our approach and continue to develop support in line with the needs of our members and staff.
Alongside this, we are also providing Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) training for our wellbeing team. This accredited training delivered in line with the Mental Health First Aid England framework, will equip the team with the skills to support colleagues, promote early intervention, and help guide people to appropriate professional support where needed.
3PB’s Head of People, Claire Christie, said: “These developments sit alongside the wider support already in place at 3PB for our members, including access to occupational health, confidential paid counselling, financial and wealth advice, a dedicated EDI and wellbeing team, private medical insurance and strong support for flexible working and periods of leave such as maternity, paternity and adoption. We also provide structured support for those preparing to go on leave and returning to practice, as well as guidance for clerks in supporting members sensitively and appropriately.
“I’ve been really encouraged by the positive engagement with and support for these initiatives across chambers. The investment in a dedicated HR and People function, and the openness to strengthening our wellbeing framework, reflects a shared commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive and sustainable working environment at 3PB.”
