3PB’s biker barrister Joseph Giret QC brings crucial blood supplies to the NHS

30th March 2020

3PB’s commercial and chancery barrister Joseph Giret QC is volunteering his time to the charity Blood Bikes SERV OBN, delivering crucial blood supplies to NHS Hospitals in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Northamptonshire.

This service by emergency bike rider volunteers is a nationwide service - provided by unpaid volunteers to help out the NHS, such as Joseph, who is already an active member – delivers emergency supplies of blood to hospitals overnight. Volunteers are experienced, highly trained and committed service personnel who use adapted official Police bikes to complete their duties.

Joseph Giret QC is working harder than ever before to assist the NHS whilst we are in this enforced lockdown period, with shifts commencing at 7pm, when the NHS service comes to an end, and lasting until 7am, and in all weathers.

Joseph Giret QC commented: “I am delighted to volunteer my time and skills to help save NHS money and to maintain this precious service to the public, in normal and now these extraordinary times!”
