3PB Barristers are proud to announce two more Recorder appointments

3PB Barristers are delighted to announce that two of their barristers have been appointed as Recorders.

David Richards is assigned to sit on the Midlands Circuit dealing with Family matters.

Richard WheelerRichard WheelerCall: 2004 has been assigned to sit on the South Eastern Circuit dealing with Family matters.

David Richards, a specialist criminal and regulatory barrister with over twenty five years’ experience who also heads 3PB’s Public and Regulatory Law Team, is a recognised expert in this field including cases involving gross negligence manslaughter, military personnel, maritime and fisheries disputes and environmental litigation. He spent two years as the Principal Legal Adviser to the Director of Service Prosecutions.

Richard Wheeler is a personal injury and clinical negligence specialist, with a particular emphasis upon employers’ liability, stress at work, military injury claims and inquests, industrial injuries and illness litigation as well as public and coronial law. He has been a member of the Attorney General’s Panels for six years advising a range of UK  government departments and agencies. This includes acting in the long-running Kenyan Mau Mau Emergency litigation.

Their appointments will take effect from 16 September 2019, as per the announcement on the Judiciary website.
