Graham is a specialist family Barrister practicing exclusively in this area of law, he has extensive experience at all levels of disputes involving children.
After qualifying as a Solicitor, Graham practised initially in Oxford, and then in Bristol predominantly in Family and Criminal Law, specifically focusing on advocacy. He then qualified as an independent Solicitor Advocate, offering external advocacy services to solicitors practices. Initially acting in criminal, appearing both as defence and as prosecution on behalf of the CPS, and family matters, appearing for Parents, Guardians and Local Authorities.
Increasingly Graham developed a specialist Family law practice, particularly focusing on children cases. Graham receives instructions to represent many local authorities in Care cases, frequently in contested Interim Care, Fact-Find and Final hearings, many of which hearings are lengthy and complex. He has representing Local Authorities in numerous 10 plus day cases, at all court levels including the High Court. A significant number of these cases have also involved Graham appearing against Queens Counsel.
Graham has extensive experience in dealing sensitively with clients, including parents with learning or behavioural difficulties. Since joining the Bar, Graham has continued to have a busy practice, receiving instructions in all similar cases, both from local authorities and solicitors’ firms.
