Crime

Ximena is a criminal practitioner who appears in all criminal courts for the defence and prosecution. She is predominately instructed on the Western circuit, but also appears on the South Eastern Circuit and in London.

She has represented clients for the full range of criminal offences involving serious violence, robbery, the supply of drugs, including distribution within prison, firearm offences and multi-handed matters.

She has experience of confiscation and all forms of civil behaviour orders. She has also represented clients before the Court of Appeal. Recent instructions include violent disorder, sexual offences, perverting the course of justice, robbery and fraud.

Ximena has a keen interest in the relationship between mental disorder and crime and is regularly instructed to represent individuals who have offended in hospital whilst detained under mental health legislation.

She is on the CPS Approved List of Advocates for the Western Circuit and has appeared for the Crown for various matters.
