Police Law
Sunyana has developed a diverse practice in Police Law in the following areas:
- Civil: Sunyana acts for the Police in confiscation and forfeiture hearings. She recently represented Dorset Police in an application under the Police (Property) Act 1897 in respect of a 13th Century silver chalice.
- Crime: She also acts for the Police in the criminal courts. In 2009 Sunyana defended a police dog handler charged with a serious case of mistreatment of his trainee dog. Sunyana has successfully represented a police officer in the Crown Court for "causing death by driving and at the time being an uninsured driver" under s.3ZB of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
