Nicola Martin is a key member of the Chambers family group and has 20+ years of experience in dealing with Ancillary Relief Proceedings. Since the inception of the POCA legislation, Nicola has been well placed to advise on and act in proceedings where POCA and divorce legislation overlap.

She is regularly instructed by government agencies and also represents the interests of both husbands/wives and applicants/respondents.

Nicola has advised on Administrative POCA matters. For example, the issue of a wife's beneficial interest in a property which was tainted by being funded with the proceeds of crime, and in relation to certificates of inadequacy. She has also appeared on several occasions, including as leading counsel, both in the Administrative court and Family Division in combined Ancillary Relief and Receivership proceedings - see Solomons, Solomons and RCPO [2007] EWHC 1362 (Fam).
