Mark accepts instructions in all areas of family law including private law, ancillary relief and public law matters.
He has considerable experience of private law cases including those involving difficult or demanding clients, complex fact-finding hearings, the appointment of guardians and risk of abduction (both within and outside of the jurisdiction). In particular, Mark often acts on behalf of resident mothers who have suffered domestic violence at the hands of the non-resident parent.
In matters of finance, Mark appears regularly in ancillary matters as well as TLATA cases and other co-habitation disputes. He has a particular interest in pre-nuptial agreements and has given seminars as well as advice on the subject.
In public law Mark has represented both the Local Authority and parents in applications for care and supervision orders and has particular experience of acting in cases involving substance misuse.
Mark is happy to advise on elements of a case prior to instruction.
