Technology & Construction
Ebony has a keen interest and busy practice in construction work. She advises parties in relation to disputes arising under the common-form contract suites, defective work claims and professional negligence claims arising from construction matters i.e. architects, engineers and surveyors.
Examples of recent work
- Advice on the adjudication provisions of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 in the context of an amended DOM/2 standard form contract.
- Advising a client on an application for security for costs in a construction dispute.
- Drafting a Defence for a major developer in relation to a multi-claimant construction dispute.
- Assisting in advising in respect of refurbishment of a solicitors’ practice under a 2007 JCT.
- Assisting in drafting Particulars of Claim in respect of a professional negligence action against solicitors for failing to advise adequately in respect of construction invoices.
