Specialist in head injury, spinal injury and fatal accidents claims, usually acting for Claimants. He also has extensive experience in asbestos, occupational asthma and other industrial disease litigation and since the late 1980s has been heavily involved in claims arising out of asbestos exposure at Southampton Docks, Portsmouth Dockyard and the Fawley Refinery. He has considerable expertise in clinical negligence claims and in the disposal of claims by way of periodical payments under the Damages Act 1996.

He is a member of the Professional Negligence Bar Association and the Personal Injuries Bar Association.

Anthony Coleman is recommended in Band 5 of the London Personal Injury section of the Chambers and Partners 2011 Directory. He is described as a "level-headed" barrister by the Directory.
